The Graduate Assistant for the Honors Program provides vital administrative and programmatic support to ensure the smooth operation of all Honors initiatives. The GA helps coordinate day-to-day office functions, assists with program communications and data management, and offers direct support to the Director. In addition, the GA plays a key role in planning, organizing, and overseeing student-focused events and activities. The position also includes supervising Federal Work Study students and the Honors Program Student Advisory Board (HPSAB), guiding student leaders in their roles, and helping implement student-led programming that aligns with the mission of the Honors Program.
This position is in person
Supervise the Federal Work Study student(s), meeting with them weekly to monitor completion of tasks, collaborate on student-led programming initiatives, and provide mentorship.
Supervise the Honors Program Student Advisory Board (HPSAB) meetings, assist with event organizing, oversee the social event budget, and publication of the program newsletter.
Provide administrative support to the Honors Program through management of the MS Teams channels, email distribution lists, and program files. The GA will manage office supplies, including program materials, supplies for the Honors Program student lounge, and office space.
Provide logistical and administrative support for Honors Program initiatives, including the Peer Mentorship program, Honors housing, and professional development events.
Assist the director and the administrative assistant in monitoring and updating the Honors Program website, social media, CORQ postings, and other sites.
A Bachelor's degree in any field is required. A degree in Mental Health or Health related field is preferred.
Intermediate experience using MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Corq.
Responsible for the management of program documents and website updates.
Good written skills as it relates to email communication with students
Responsible for supervising student meetings
