The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Experiences (theme parks and resorts, cruise and vacation experiences, and consumer products), Disney Entertainment (media networks, studios, streaming, and theatrical), and ESPN in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing, and optimization. Key partners to the DDSI organization include marketing, finance, business development, research, and operations. Roles within DDSI develop, analyze, and implement strategies to enhance profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders.
As part of DDSI, the Decision Science team builds innovative scientific models and data-driven decision support tools that are used by business units across The Walt Disney Company to make better business decisions. From establishing appropriate science methodologies to implementing continuous innovation, the Decision Science team is instrumental in determining the success of our entire global enterprise!
What You Will Do
Graduate Associates make an impact by crafting innovative mathematical models to advise data-driven decision making across many lines of business. As a Graduate Associate, you will help in this process by:
- Processing and analyzing large quantities of tabular and unstructured data
- Formulating hypotheses, experimentation plans, and causal modeling strategies
- Creating statistical, machine learning, simulation, or other models as appropriate
- Performing validation and verification of data, models, and code
- Formulating business insights and recommendations through models and analysis
- Writing technical documentation and reports, and delivering presentations to key partners
- Maintaining alignment with leaders and partners on project planning and deliverables
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strategic problem-solving & analytical skills
- Proficiency in one or several of the following areas: forecasting, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, natural language processing, Bayesian statistics, discrete event simulation, mathematical optimization methods (e.g., linear/integer/nonlinear/dynamic programming)
- Experience with statistical modeling software (e.g. R, Python, SAS) or experience with mathematical programming software (e.g. CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress, Google OR, COIN-OR, SAS/OR)
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, SAS, Java, Julia, C++, MATLAB
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Competence and willingness to learn new science, software applications, and tools
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and reporting on the results
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SQL or Tableau
Education
Currently enrolled as a Graduate level student, or graduated within six (6) months of application submission, pursuing a master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Math, Economics, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in this position OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship, or Disney Graduate Associate
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship, Graduate Associate, or Disney College Program
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this position are February 2026 through August 14, 2026
- Candidates must be able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
- Candidates must be available Monday–Friday for 10 hours per week during the spring term. Starting on June 1, candidates must be fully available Monday–Friday for 40 hours per week
