Job Description - Graduate Research Assistant - Frank & Eileen Center

Position Overview

The Frank & Eileen™ Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (Frank & Eileen Center) at Babson College is seeking a Graduate Assistant to provide high-level support for administrative, event management, communications, and specialized research.

The primary focus of this assistantship is supporting the Center’s premier focus with driving special initiatives that advance research and policy recommendations related to women’s entrepreneurial leadership. This role is ideal for a student interested in the intersection of academic rigor, gender equity, and global economic policy. Work will be conducted on a flexible schedule, primarily remotely, with occasional in-person support required for local events.

Key Responsibilities

·  Strategic Research & Policy Support: Conduct high-level research and data analysis to support special initiatives aimed at advancing women’s entrepreneurial leadership and informing global economic policy recommendations.

·  Integrated Communications Management: Draft and curate compelling content for newsletters, social media, and internal reports to amplify the Center’s mission and academic contributions within the Babson community and beyond.

·  High-Level Administrative Coordination: Provide comprehensive executive support, managing complex workflows and project timelines to ensure the seamless execution of the Center’s strategic priorities.

·  End-to-End Event Management: Assist in the planning, promotion, and on-site execution of premier events, bridging remote coordination with occasional in-person support to enhance stakeholder engagement.

·  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between the Center and external partners, facilitating the intersection of academic rigor and gender equity initiatives through professional correspondence and relationship management.

Skills & Competencies Desired

  • Academic & Policy Writing: Strong communication skills with the ability to write for academic, professional, and policy-oriented audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with event management software such as CVENT (required) and digital tools like Canva and LinkedIn.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to manage multiple deadlines and synthesize complex information regarding gender equity and leadership.
  • Research Interest: A background or strong interest in women’s entrepreneurship, public policy, or economic development.
  • Professionalism: Ability to engage professionally with high-level international scholars and stakeholders.
