Department: Orientation Position: Onboarding Duration: 0.5 month Job Description: You will receive an orientation to the company and the local community which includes learning about our company’s customers, culture, business strategies, etc.; learn about payroll schedules and payroll tax withholding; local training area, housing options, apartment complexes, and transportation options; meet key contacts and other employees; receive computer training on company systems; receive an orientation to the local community including cultural centers, volunteer opportunities, local sporting events, and entertainment venues. Orientation is scheduled for up to one month and takes place concurrently with the first training phase.
Department: Rooms Division Position: Guest Services Ambassador Duration: 5.5 months Job Description: During this phase, you will be trained to expertly manage the full spectrum of guest arrivals and departures, ensuring each interaction is handled with efficiency, warmth, and attention to detail. They will gain hands-on experience in accurately inputting and updating guest profiles and reservation details within the hotel’s property management systems, while also learning to communicate effectively with guests through multiple channels, including in-person, phone, email, and digital messaging platforms. You will be guided in the art of accommodating special requests—ranging from room preferences to celebratory arrangements—and will develop the ability to offer thoughtful, personalized recommendations that reflect both the guest’s interests and the local culture. Additionally, they will learn to collaborate seamlessly with other departments, such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering, to ensure that guest needs are met promptly and thoroughly. As their confidence grows, you will also cultivate the ability to resolve guest concerns independently, maintaining a calm, composed, and engaging presence even in high-pressure situations.
Department: Rooms Division Position: Housekeeping Supervisor Duration: 2 months Job Description: You will learn to inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with all standards; assist in scheduling room, turndown, mini-bar and linen attendants; provide training, coaching and counseling for better performance; learn to supervise performance of all team members; produce schedules for employees in accordance with staffing guides/ productivity requirements; review and adjust staffing daily to ensure optimum staffing levels; review assignments of employees and make adjustments; manage administrative functions in accordance with established standards; evaluate, coach, counsel and provide leadership support.
Department: Food and Beverage Position: Front of House Operations – F&B Duration: 4 months Job Description: During this phase, you will be trained to deliver polished and attentive service in both the restaurant and café settings, beginning with the fundamentals of warmly greeting guests and guiding them through their dining experience with professionalism and care. They will learn to take and deliver orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that each guest’s preferences and dietary needs are clearly understood and communicated. You will also become proficient in describing menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, while confidently addressing allergens and dietary accommodations. In addition, you will develop the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and coordinated service. They will also be coached on how to receive and respond to guest feedback with discretion and professionalism and will gain exposure to other areas of the food and beverage department—including banquets, in-room dining, and rooftop service—broadening their understanding of hotel-wide operations and enhancing their versatility as a team member.
Requirements
You are enrolled in a post-secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry NQF Level 5 and above OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
