Location: On-site at St. Julian Winery & Distillery – Paw Paw, MI
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: Flexible, 20–50 hours/week based on your school schedule

Are you a student looking to earn lab hours for your degree while gaining real-world, hands-on experience in a winery? Join St. Julian Winery & Distillery, Michigan’s oldest and most-awarded winery, for the 2025 harvest season! This temporary internship is ideal for students in biology, chemistry, food science, fermentation science, or related fields. You will be part of a fast-paced, supportive environment that offers exposure to both laboratory and cellar operations during the most exciting time of year in the wine industry.

About the Internship:

• Runs approximately 12–18 weeks, beginning in early August and ending after harvest concludes
• We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic commitments
• You may work anywhere from 25 to 50 hours per week—tell us when you are available!

What You Will Do:

• Perform laboratory analysis on juice and wine samples using standard operating procedures
• Record and report test results accurately and promptly
• Monitor fermentations in tanks and barrels
• Clean and sanitize lab and cellar equipment
• Collect representative tank and barrel samples
• Support general sanitation and housekeeping
• Assist with cellar tasks such as pump overs, punch downs, and tank dig-outs

What We Are Looking For:

• Students seeking lab credit or hands-on experience
• Academic or professional lab experience required
• Background in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, team-oriented environment
