HBKS Wealth Advisors, a regional, independent personal financial planning and wealth management firm, is seeking an Intern for its Retirement Plan Services Group. This position will be based out of our Fort Myers, Florida office. This individual will work as part of a national practice that provides advice and consulting to the firm’s corporate client sponsoring qualified retirement plan such as 401(k)s. The Retirement Plan Services Group currently advises on approximately 250 retirement plan sponsors representing thousands of participants and over $500 million in retirement plan assets. DESCRIPTION

Typically, full time however HBKS understands that students may need to attend classes during their internship and will provide a flexible schedule if needed. At HBKS, the firm's internship program is designed to provide a valuable and challenging "hands-on" learning experience, to develop an understanding of the firm, the wealth advisory profession, and to enhance the intern's formal education. You will accomplish this by: 

• Working with the retirement plan services team on a range of administrative tasks.


• Assisting with case analysis for new perspective client opportunities.


• Working with various tools and databases that the firm subscribes to help identify prospective clients in the various markets where HBK/HBKS has a presence.


• Helping to produce quarterly reports for the firm’s retirement plan services clients.


• Performing other tasks as delegated.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be Junior or Senior status majoring in finance, accounting, statistics, or economics


• Must currently be enrolled (accredited school) and be in good academic standing


• Actively pursuing or interested in pursuing CFP


• Must possess excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills


• Must be team player


• Must pass an employment background check


• Must have the ability to work at least 20 hours per week, but this opportunity can be up to 40 for those who desire such

Upon successful completion of the internship, students may be presented with a verbal offer for a second internship (juniors), or with a full-time offer of employment (seniors) followed by a formal written offer letter.
