Healthcare Administration Summer Intern

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is a summer internship that offers exposure to pediatric healthcare operations, patient services, and administrative functions. Internships will run from June 1 to July 31, 2026.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support special projects (research, data entry, communications).
• Shadow healthcare professionals to understand pediatric care delivery.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Current college student, recent graduate, or high school senior 18+.
• Interest in healthcare, pediatrics, or related fields.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office/Google Workspace).
• Successful background check and 3 professional references.

• Strong verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, patient-focused, and professional demeanor.
• Quick learner with the ability to follow procedures and adapt to new systems.
• Basic computer skills; EHR experience a plus.
