Job Description - HR Intern

Description

  

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR Intern provides quality compliance and administrative support to all Threaded Fasteners Employee Owners. This support is based at the Threaded Fasteners Inc. Home Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Maintains employee databases, updates HR files, and assists with document organization. 
  • Assists with job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires. 
  • Schedules 30-, 60- and 90-day check-ins (Care Connections) with new hires; and informal check-ins with current employees.
  • Reconciles temporary contractor invoices and submits for approval.
  • Performs other clerical duties to support the department and HR staff.
  • Must follow all Company policies and procedures, including those relative to employee safety, environmental policy, and the principles of our quality system.
  • Other duties assigned or requested by Management.

Requirements

  

Education & Experience Required:

· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management or human resources management.

· Strong academic record, minimum GPA of 3.0.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel or related software.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s in business administration, human resources, or related field
  • Demonstrated prior experience in human resources, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements: Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds, 4+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold office environment
  • Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
  • Much be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift

Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken word, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
