Job Description - HR Intern (On-site)

Description

Job Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in the field of human resources—specifically learning and development—who want to gain hands-on experience supporting high-impact training initiatives. The HR Intern will assist in designing and delivering engaging, data-informed learning experiences that align with the company’s strategic goals. The role includes supporting key programs across business development, project management, leadership, and compliance training. This internship will provide real-world experience in learning design, performance enablement, and strategic talent development.

Duties: 

Program Design & Delivery Support

  • Support the coordination and facilitation of training sessions
  • Participate in the onboarding process of new employees through training support
  • Refresh new hire training checklist to support ISO compliance
  • Assist in the development and design of training materials and programs
  • Assist with logistics for key programs, including class scheduling, booking rooms, confirming presenters, preparing materials, creating communications and updating records
  • Perform administrative tasks related to training logistics

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to identify training needs
  • Help track and analyze training effectiveness and employee feedback

Learning Technologies

  • Update and maintain user and course information in the learning management system
  • Assist in testing new learning tools or platform for usability

Strategic Support

  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of L&D frameworks, playbooks, and templates

General Human Resources

  • Help maintain employee records and ensure they are updated and organized
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events
  • Support various HR projects and programs as assigned.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest or coursework in adult learning and training program management, international development, business project management, data analytics, or organizational development a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience in training, tutoring, or related areas is a plus

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
