Job Summary: We are seeking an HR Intern to join our People & Operations team at Ground Up International. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Human Resources. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple HR functions. Responsibilities will include supporting recruitment efforts, onboarding, training and development programs, employee relations/legal processes, and assisting with basic compensation and benefits administration.
This is a paid, part time internship, requiring 24 hours per week (3 days onsite) at our office near 34th street Herald Square. The internship will run for 6 months, with the potential to extend or convert to a full- time role based of performance and business needs. Start Date: beginning of March 2026.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Assist with posting job openings and reviewing resumes
Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
Support recruitment events and early-career hiring initiatives
Onboarding & Training
Help prepare onboarding materials and new hire documentation
Assist with new hire orientation and training sessions
Support training and development programs, including tracking attendance and completion
General HR Support
Provide administrative support to the HR team
Assist with special projects and process improvements
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
HR Operations & Employee Relations
Assist with maintaining employee files and HR systems
Support employee relations and basic HR/legal processes under supervision
Help draft internal HR communications and documentation
Compensation & Benefits Support
Assist with basic compensation and benefits administration tasks
Help respond to employee questions and route inquiries appropriately
Support benefits enrollment and data tracking as needed
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Strong interest in starting a career in Human Resources
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
