Job Responsibilities –
Assist in time studies, work measurement, and line balancing to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Support layout planning and workstation design to enhance ergonomics and workflow.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Maintenance to implement lean manufacturing principles.
Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update process documentation.
Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and simulation software to model and evaluate process changes.
Conduct a project to research AI automation options for business processes within the IE department
Present findings and recommendations to engineering and operations leadership.
1. Job Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and time study techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Self-starter with a passion for manufacturing and process optimization.
Ability to perform work onsite at Smyrna, TN.
