What It Means to be a Reingold Instructional Design Intern
As an ID intern, you will meaningfully contribute to your projects as a valued member of your team, while being supported by our structured internship program. Reingold’s program provides regular check-ins, professional development and learning opportunities, and fun team bonding events.

ID interns will learn the ins and outs of the training department while collaborating with and learning from other departments across Reingold. You’ll gain hands-on development experience, hone your ADDIE and project management skills, and gain exposure to a range of industries. Interns work directly with experienced, passionate consultants and creative specialists. We’re all about initiative, and we encourage interns to tailor their experience to their interests and strengths!

Internships are full-time (40 hours) during the standard workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. The 2025 Term 1 internship class begins on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and runs through Friday, November 21, 2025. Core hours during the internship are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. This internship requires five in-office days, Monday through Friday, at our office in Alexandria, Virginia.

Your day-to-day duties may include, but are not limited to:

Gaining exposure to a variety of workstreams and beginning to build foundational instructional design skills.
Displaying soft skills for communicating professionally.
Performing hands-on, entry-level instructional design tasks that may include researching, drafting course materials, and conducting quality control activities

A Reingold intern must have the following qualifications and skills:

Demonstrable experience in designing e-learning experiences
Knowledge of learning science and evidence-based design standards
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
Strong collaboration skills
Eagerness to learn by doing
Curiosity and creativity
Professional approach
