The Whiting School of Engineering is seeking an Intellectual Property Intern to provide project-based support to the Engineering Design Center by assisting with the completion and finalization of the Intellectual Property (IP) training modules.
The position provides basic administrative and operational support for a specific program within a department. The position supports the planning and daily operations of the program.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Provide support for outreach activities and internal events; assist with preparation of materials, set-up and breakdown, and participate as needed at events and activities.
Assist with data entry, report production, and basic analysis of program results.
Assist with development and distribution of program communications.
Respond to or elevate questions and provide customer service through email and by phone.
Contact service personnel or other resources for program needs.
Monitor supply inventory and order supplies.
Operate and coordinate the servicing of office equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the duties described above
Review and edit PowerPoint presentations for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and overall quality.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of audio recordings to ensure clarity, accuracy, and synchronization with presentation content.
Identify, document, and implement revisions to instructional materials.
Assist with proofreading and finalizing training modules prior to publication.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure all content meets established quality standards and project deadlines.
Support the successful completion and delivery of the Intellectual Property (IP) training module project.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or graduation equivalent.
Six months of related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
