Intensive Home Based Treatment (IHBT) Summer2025 / Fall 2025

Lorain County- Intensive Home Based Treatment (IHBT)– (Prefer 2nd year graduate students, open to first year students) Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the IHBT Supervisor/Field Instructor, the Intensive In-Home Services Intern provides services to multi-system youth, their families, and significant others, such as court and school staff, as needed.  The Intensive In-Home Services Intern is a member of a treatment team directed by the IHBT Supervisor for clients experiencing mental health and behavioral issues who have been determined to be at risk for out of home placement.  Services take place in the home and community.  Work hours are flexible, some evenings apply. Eligible interns that participate in IHBT can receive a stipend for a total of $2,000 given in two separate increments over the course of their internship experience. 

Intensive In-Home Services Interns provide the following services, including, but not limited to:

1. Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation and Treatment Planning
2. Family and individual counseling
3. Family education
4. Family and individual skill trainings
5. Advocacy and Outreach
6. Information and referral
7. Crisis intervention
