Position Overview:

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an intern and assist us with various marketing and administrative tasks. If you are currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Hotel and Tourism Management, or a related field, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

• You’re outgoing and energetic, detail oriented, organized, problem-solver, and customer focused
  


• You embrace technology and easily learn new business, social media, and AI technology. You geek out over the latest and greatest. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
  


• Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  


• Passion for wine and the wine industry is a plus
  


• Willing to think outside the box, able to learn and adapt quickly, takes initiative
  

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of marketing business processes and initiatives
  


• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
  


• Draft and edit marketing materials such as emails, social media posts, and blog content, help develop our email marketing strategy
  


• Help manage our social media resources, including creating posts for FB, IG, Google, and Twitter
  


• Promote tours to marketing sites.
  


• The intern will also attend and/or support as a guest and as attendee at least two full day wine tours to experience both working and attending a wine tour as the companies’ main function. The wine tours occur on Saturday or Sunday when convenient for the Intern.
  


• After wine tours photo uploads, watermark photos and send out a thank you email to guests and a link to the photos
  


• Respond to customer emails and provide excellent customer service
  


• Conduct administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, brochure delivery, scheduling and other tasks

Benefits

Compensation:

Vino Virginia will provide a one-time stipend payment of $1200 at the completion of the internship. The Intern must complete the full 10 weeks program to qualify for compensation.
