Job Description - Intern

Status: Part Time Hourly


FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt 


Summary of the Position: Behavioral Health Intern functions alongside QMHP-CS and under supervision, provides one-on-one psychosocial rehabilitation, skills training, group facilitation, case management support, family engagement, and community outreach services to children, adolescents, and families.


Location: Austin, Texas and Surrounding Areas 


Qualifications/Requirements: 



  • Currently enrolled in a Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Marriage and Family Therapy, Sociology, or related behavioral health program. 

  • Familiarity with mental health, substance use, and recovery services

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. 

  • Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage. 

  • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Skills preferred.
