Intern, Accounting & Finance

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for an Intern to support our Accounting & Finance department. The ideal candidate would possess excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills and have great attention to detail.  This position will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
  
  
  
  • Review stale check reports and follow up with vendors as needed
  
  
  • Review outstanding invoices and expense reports and follow up with approvers as needed to clear any overdue payments
  
  
  • Assist Accounts Payable team as needed
  
  
  
  


• Partner Accounting & Tax
  
  
  
  • Assist with the preparation of certain monthly tax filings
  
  
  • Assist with the completion of monthly account schedules 
  
  
  
  


• Assist Administrative Assistant with ad hoc requests and special projects, when available


• Assist Financial Controller and General Ledger team with adhoc projects


• Maintain confidentiality and internal controls as required by Firm policies and procedures


• Other duties as needed to fully meet the requirements of the position

Experience and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate student with studies in Accounting or Finance


• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook


• Ability to pay close attention to detail


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills


• Flexibility

Salary

Pursuant with states' laws, the salary range for this position is $20.00 an hour, based on experience and local market.
