Position Summary

As collaborative partners, Shrewsberry offers professional expertise and market-focused solutions in an expanding spectrum of disciplines including Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Roadway Design, Landscape Architecture, Utility Coordination, Permitting, Construction Inspection and Administration, Program Management/Construction Management, and Owner’s Technical Representation.

As a civil aviation intern, you will be exposed to conceptual design criteria used by the FAA to design airport taxiways, runways, and aprons. Interns will be expected to comply with all Shrewsberry policies and procedures and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support design efforts with professional engineers
• Observe and report on field activities 
• Assist with report preparation 
• Assist with special projects as needed 
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

Qualifications for an intern:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in an accredited program
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D 
• Live in the Denver Metro area with the ability to travel to office
• Team-oriented attitude as well as a desire to grow professionally

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management 
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills
• A passion for the aviation industry
