Job Description - Intern - Content Production Project Planner (Local)
Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
This salary is based on experience and qualifications, in alignment with the level of responsibility assigned.
Simantel is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified intern to work in-person with our Content Production team at our Peoria, Illinois office during Fall 2025. This internship provides a paid opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a marketing agency, network with Simantel professionals in their field of interest, develop and refine skills and build confidence in their abilities. As a Content Production Project Planner Intern, my objective is:
Work closely with members of our Content Production Project Planner team to assist in multiple aspects of the client services process
Complete project-based tasks as assigned
Learn about the client’s business and Simantel’s content production offerings to identify opportunities to enhance existing/new projects
Assist in managing all aspects of workflow efficiency, resources assignment/scheduling and financial management of assigned accounts
Assist in managing tasks, timelines, and deliverables for multiple projects concurrently, with a focus on dependencies, deadlines, and proactive planning
Work with the team members to effectively forecast client budgets; plan and estimate project scopes; support communication internally and with the client on budget approvals and status of budget management
Meet with team members, as required, to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned projects
Eagerly share and exchange thoughts and ideas with others in a positive and supportive manner
Manage schedules to meet deadlines
The outcomes I need to produce for the agency are:
Successfully complete assigned tasks and projects
Become an active participant in meetings, sharing thoughts, ideas, and suggestions
Showcase effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail relating to budgets, proofreading, project schedules, etc.
Provide solution-oriented ideas for in-the-work challenges
Demonstrate an increased comprehension of, and appreciation for, marketing as a discipline, as well as the role of content production project planning in the agency environment

Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Schedule for the Fall Internship:
Start Date: Wednesday 9/3/25
End Date: Minimum of 9 weeks (11/5/25) with potential flexibility to be longer
* Working schedule to be no more than 28/hours per weekin-person at our Peoria, IL office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays between 8am-4pm
* Exact times to be discussed to work around classes, with flexibility to work Mondays/Fridays as needed or desired
