Intern - Credit Risk (Bank Lending) (Summer 2026)

Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring a Credit Risk (Bank Lending) Intern for its 2026 Summer Internship Program (see Responsibilities and Qualifications below). The hourly wage minimum = $17; maximum = $19. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location.

Responsibilities for the Credit Risk (Bank Lending) Summer Intern include:

• Providing support for the Credit Risk annual review process.


• Managing data updates in Credit Administration tools and databases.


• Assisting in data quality control checks and analyzing data anomalies.


• Facilitating reporting and ad hoc data requests.


• Interfacing with multiple departments including Accounting, Loan Operations, Data Analytics and Lending.


• Job shadowing multiple roles in Credit Administration to develop an understanding of key functions.

Qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited University/College pursuing degree(s) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business.


• Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.


• Motivated. Curious. Eager to learn. Inquisitive. Proactive contributor.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


• Basic Accounting Knowledge, including how to analyze, and interpret the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement would be a plus.


• Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, in Hauppauge, Long Island.
