Intern - Estimating

Description

ECC is seeking a Construction Estimating Intern. As an Intern, you will  work along side highly skilled Estimating professionals and be exposed to all functions of the estimating department. In this position you will:  

• Under close supervision and following specific instructions, performs basic duties in support of the department
• Learn our systems (RFP tool, on-screen takeoff, EZ Cost and Leveling Sheets)
• Create subcontractor call sheets
• Make subcontractor calls
• May attend site walks
• Participate in quantity takeoff’s  
• Participate in reviews
• May be assigned to complete special projects
• Work with IT when needed
• Work with Marketing when needed
• In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position

Requirements 

• Interest in the construction industry
• Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications  

• Basis knowledge in related field

ECC targeted hourly rate is $25.00.  Pay rate offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
