Intern - Loan Services

Description

Summary

The Intern will work closely with loan services personnel and loan documentation specialists within the department. 

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing loan documents, post closing reviews, quality control, collateral releases and servicing the loan portfolio for the bank.
• Assist in formatting the established procedures for loan documentation.
• Verify loans and learn about the production of loan documents.
• Assembling original loan documentations packages for scanning and storage.
• Pull post closing collateral release documentation.
• Participate in data review and input for real estate property tax project. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience/Education

• Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• Business or law majors (or similar) preferred.
• An interest in real estate is preferred.
• Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills. 
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Please note, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation to support immigration sponsorship or benefit including but not limited to optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT)

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division and “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
