PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Summer Intern in Market Access will be responsible for assisting the VP of the Department on projects aimed at expanding Aerin product awareness and developing health economic resources. 

This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain insights into various aspects of market access and contribute to assembling critical information that influences healthcare decision-making by patients, payers, and providers. 

The Market Access team at Aerin Medical is dedicated to establishing and communicating the economic value of ViVaer and RhinAer to patients, physicians, and insurance payers, as they navigate the challenging choices in this essential sector. The intern will play a crucial role in driving the creation of customer-facing health economic market access collateral to be used with field selling organization and ENT’s.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Assist in developing Health Economic Market Access resources and working with outside agency to ensure smooth execution.
•  Assist VP in developing reports, PowerPoint presentations used with the field selling organization.
•  Support Sr. Market Access Managers on any day-to-day projects that require attention.
•  Attend cross-functional team meetings to provide key insights and help drive projects to completion.
•  Present summer project key learnings at the end of your internship to members of the Executive Leadership Team at Aerin Medical.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
•  Desire to work within a diverse, energetic team dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of patients.
•  Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
•  Must have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
•  General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday-Friday, with an expectation of 1-2 in-person meetings with VP of Dept. Applicants should plan on being able to travel if needed.

SKILLS LEARNED ON THE JOB:

• Basic understanding of the US reimbursement process and claims system
• Public speaking / group presentation skills
• Data analytics with Microsoft Excel and Tableau
• Knowledge of Aerin Medical’s product offerings 
• Established rapport with a broad range of colleagues and leaders
