Job Description
The University of Tulsa is seeking an in individual to serve as an intern for the Track and Field program with a primary focus on assisting with coaching the sprints and occasionally the jumps (high jump and horizontal jumps) and hurdles. The intern will work closely with the entire coaching staff, with an emphasis on the speed and power event groups.
Responsibilities:
Work as a member of the Track and Field staff.
Facilitate workouts and training as assigned by the Director of the Cross Country/Track & Field program.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Cross Country/Track & Field program.
Work closely with the speed and power event group.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive university vehicles.
Background in the Sprint and Hurdle events.
Experience coaching or competing at the collegiate level.
Ability to attend all practices.
Ability to travel to all competitions.
Preferred:
Experience coaching or competing in Division I Track and Field.
Experience in the combined events.
Application Procedure:
Position is paid over 10 months.
Position lasts for a maximum of two seasons.
The University of Tulsa is a Division I, FBS institution that competes in the American Conference located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
