About the Role
The Project Management Intern will support the Program and Alliance Management Department in managing and supervising administrative, technical, and financial aspects of assigned programs. The Intern will assist with one or more projects, allowing opportunities to gain exposure and understanding of Project Management Methodologies (PMM) and processes in a professional environment.
Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Assist Program Managers (PM) to ensure project requirements, standards, and documentation are followed
- Assist PM to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget management for assigned programs
- Use critical judgment in the development of all project deliverables
- Ensure quality and timely submission of all project deliverables and documentation as assigned by the PM
- Support PM with reporting on the project status and health (Dashboards)
- Assist PM with identifying, managing, and resolving project risks and issues
- Help facilitate strategic discussions on scenario planning to enable core team and governance decision making
Factors for Success:
- Current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on project management in Engineering, Science, Business, or related fields
- A strong interest in Project Management as a career is preferred
- Previous experience managing projects is encouraged
- Strong interpersonal skills to actively listen, communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility
- Ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively
- Demonstrate leadership, diplomacy, and motivational skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and proactivity for identifying potential solutions

The expected hourly pay for this position is $26/hour for an undergraduate student and $45/hr for a graduate student.
