Position: Intern, Regenerative Energy
Location: Nashville, TN – Hybrid, In-Office, or Remote
Overview: The Intern, Regenerative Energy, will support the planning and execution of Regenerative Energy projects, traditional land management, and civil maintenance activities within Silicon Ranch’s expanding portfolio of Project Development projects. This role is integral to ensuring seamless coordination of comprehensive project data and support for land management and development needs across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams – from Project Development through to Asset Management - to site assessments, support with environmental permitting, land management forecasting, and manage budgets and schedules for preconstruction seeding and related preparatory activities. Additionally, this position will manage relationships with vendors and consultants, ensuring that land management and civil maintenance efforts align with both the development and construction phases of Silicon Ranch projects.
The Intern, Regenerative Energy will assist with a portfolio of multiple projects managed concurrently. While working primarily with the Regenerative Energy and Project Development departments, this role also collaborates with various internal teams - including Operation and Maintenance (O&M), Business Development, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and field-level construction managers and team members – to execute projects in alignment with the Company’s strategic project goals. This role is responsible for supporting Regenerative Energy and traditional land management contracts and project deliverables, and stakeholder relations, with a strong focus on client, vendor, community, and neighbor interactions. The Intern, Regenerative Energy will also help develop and monitor vegetation management plans, coordinate service delivery schedules, and track project costs according to company systems and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
Support the Regenerative Energy team in tracking the new asset development.
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized process and documentation, such as pre-seeding portfolios, project one-pagers, and internal presentations. Enhance communication and collaboration between Commercial Leads, teams, and stakeholders by refining shared documents to support project planning.
Document Reorganization.
Project Assistance: Assist RE team with document and data collection for future projects.
Land Utilization Project: Catalog all ancillary lands and propose efficient utilization methods, such as cropping, hunting, and replanting trees.
Supporting the development and implementation of RE- Asset Development to RE- Asset Management.
Data Verification, identification and logging.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Reporting: This position reports to the Director, Regenerative Energy
Qualifications:
Background and Education:
Currently pursuing a degree in Ecology, Biology, Soil Science, Ecosystem Sciences, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field. Interest in renewable energy, land management, or ecosystem-focused projects.
Experience:
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with adaptability to change
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective decision-making abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to challenges
Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on listening and responsiveness
Proficient in project management processes and tools
Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts and tools, including Microsoft Project; experience with ProCore is a plus
Proficient in office productivity software such as the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of mapping software such as Google Earth, PastureMap, or similar tools
Familiarity with multi-species rotational grazing systems, specifically AMP grazing or Holistic Planned Grazing
