Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Compile and organize freight claims data from internal systems and carrier reports
- Analyze damage trends by mode, carrier, product type, lane, and packaging method
- Identify root causes of freight damage and quantify financial impact
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations to reduce damage
- Assist in evaluating and improving packaging standards and handling practices
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, warehouse, customer care) to gather supporting data and feedback
- Support the development of a carrier scorecard focused on claims performance, including KPIs such as frequency, severity, and resolution time
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a college program (preferably junior or senior level)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Proven detail attentiveness, organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Positive can-do attitude towards professional endeavors
- High level of professionalism and be able to work cooperatively with staff, internal, and external customers
- Ability to manage confidential information

Job Specifics
- The position is in-office. Remote work is not available. No more than twenty-eight (28) hours may be worked per week during the semester and up to forty (40) during the summer.
