Business Track


Business interns will gain insight into the operational, financial, and strategic functions that support large-scale shipbuilding. Responsibilities may include:



  • Assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting activities.

  • Supporting procurement, vendor management, and materials tracking.

  • Conducting data analysis to identify cost savings and process improvements.

  • Participating in workforce planning, onboarding, and HR program coordination.

  • Assisting with communications, marketing, or community engagement initiatives.

  • Supporting supply chain operations and logistics documentation.

  • Coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and managing project documentation.

  • Maintaining records, databases, and workflow systems to improve information flow.

  • Supporting IT, systems, or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Presenting insights, metrics, or project outcomes to department leads and leadership teams


 


What You’ll Learn



  • Foundations of Shipbuilding Operations-Understand the processes behind constructing complex vessels and supporting large-scale projects.

  • Business & Operational Strategy-Learn how financial analysis, procurement, and supply chain management drive efficiency.

Qualifications



  • Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing degrees in:


    • Business: Finance, Accounting, HR, Supply Chain, Management Operations, IT, Marketing, Communications, Health & Safety


  • Minimum GPA: 3.0

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • U.S. work authorization required — no sponsorship available
