Job Description - IT Co-op

Description

Please note: this position is intended for students currently enrolled in a higher education facility and is part time (no more than 20 hours) per week.

Part Time (20 hours per week)| 100% onsite

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The IT Co-Op provides hands-on support to business and technical teams, assisting with projects, system support, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role helps bridge business needs with technology solutions while gaining practical, real-world experience.​

Primary Tasks:

1. Assist in the design, development, documentation, and implementation of new or improved systems and processes. 

2. Attend all Co-Op Program meetings, presentations, and activities. 

3. Attend meetings with associates at all levels of the organization, both to learn and to contribute to discussion. 

4. Communicate professionally with Manager, supported team(s), and external partners. 

5. Assist with improving internal IT business processes and methods. 

6. Identify, track, and resolve issues affecting tasks/assignments. 

7. Conduct quality assurance activities in support of design, analysis, and review efforts for the team supported. 

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma 

Currently enrolled in an institution of higher education 

No more than 90 credit hours from a college or university (equivalent to being at the end of junior year) 

Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

Strong analytical and problem solving skills 

Ability to adapt and respond quickly to change 

Eager for new challenges and business environments 

Process improvement mindset 

Action and results oriented
