IT Data Intern - Summer Internship

## Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader\n\nWe pioneer technology for mobility experience that matter to people.\n\n## Your mission, roles and responsibilities\n\nOur Global Information Technology Division is looking for a summer IT Data Intern for our Forvia Headquarters Auburn Hills, MI office \n \nThe main missions of the role are to: \n\u2022 Manage inventory of backup tapes \n\u2022 Organize boxes of tapes and help dispose of ones no longer need \n\u2022 Work with our internal and external teams to figure out which tapes are offsite that we no longer need \n\u2022 Explain to local IT sites how to properly store and organize tapes \n\u2022 Recall backup tapes from Iron Mountain and consolidating tapes \n\u2022 Prepare a cost analysis of various options on how to better spend money \n\u2022 Perform other various duties assigned by the GIT Division\n\n## Your profile and competencies to succeed\n\nThe ideal candidate will have/be: \n\u2022 Must be pursuing a bachelor\u2019s degree in IT or related program \n\u2022 Required to have familiarity with software and hardware \n\u2022 Required to be a team player with the ability to also work independently \n\u2022 Required to have an ability to work with a diverse population and demonstrate good interpersonal skills \n\u2022 Experience with Simpana or Veeam backup systems is a plus \n\u2022 Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Forvia\u2019s Code of Ethics and Code of Management\n\n## What we can do for you\n\n * At Forvia, you will find an engaging and dynamic environment where you can contribute to the development of sustainable mobility leading technologies. \n * We are the seventh-largest global automotive supplier, employing more than 157,000 people in more than 40 countries which makes a lot of opportunity for career development. \n * We welcome energetic and agile people who can thrive in a fast-changing environment.
