CMA externship position. Practice specialty: Internal medicine. Hours of operation: Mon. Tue. Thurs. Fri. 8-4, Wed & Sat. 8-12. Close on last Saturday of the month.

Job description:

Greet patients, check-in/out patients, take vital signs and chief complaints from patients.

Make referral appointments with specialists

Administrate vaccines and other therapeutic shots to patients

Entering data in EMR and COREO

Assistant to answering phones when it is busy.

Obtain Prior Authorization from insurance carriers

Send in prescriptions electronically

Timely response to emails and faxes.

Requirements

Must wear masks when working in the clinic, must complete medical assistant courses. Both covid vaccine and booster are required.
