SSC CPAs + Advisors is hiring paid Interns for the Spring 2026 tax season to join our growing employee-owned company in Salina, Topeka, Overland Park, and Lawrence. Who we are looking for: We are seeking curious students who are interested in public accounting as a career, are currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program with an accounting major or related field, and have a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry. As an Intern at SSC CPAs + Advisors, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work among accounting and management professionals, contributing to the delivery of top-tier financial and advisory services to our clients.

What you will bring to the table: Intern responsibilities include scanning and organizing documents received from clients, virtual filing, and document management. Interns assist in preparing tax return work papers under experienced guidance and collaborate on the preparation of business and individual tax returns. Also, you will contribute to tax return preparation, extension calculations, client meeting participation, research support, financial document verification, and tax audit assistance.

Students should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, and possess strong interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication. Discretion in handling sensitive financial information is essential, along with a willingness to learn and a keen attention to detail. An analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, initiative-taking attitude are also important qualities for success in this role.

Additional Notes: This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, scheduled in advance based on your coursework. Work hours may extend beyond the traditional Monday to Friday, 8 am-5 pm schedule.
