About ALULA

At ALULA, our People & Culture team is focused on creating an inclusive, supportive, and growth‑oriented workplace where people can do their best work and feel they truly belong. Learning and development play a critical role in how we onboard, grow, and support our teams across the organization.

This internship is designed to provide hands‑on, real‑world experience in learning operations, training coordination, and workforce development—with the opportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities over time.

Position Overview

The Learning & Development Intern will support the People & Culture team with the setup, coordination, tracking, and continuous improvement of employee training programs, primarily within UKG Learning. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, curious about how people learn at work, and interested in a career in HR, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.

This is not a “shadowing” internship—you will be doing real work that directly impacts employees and leaders across ALULA.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Operations & UKG Learning Support

  • Assist with setting up training courses and learning paths in UKG Learning

  • Create and manage training rosters, assignments, and enrollment

  • Schedule instructor‑led and virtual trainings as needed

  • Send training reminders, follow‑ups, and completion notices

  • Track attendance, completion, and overdue trainings

  • Run and maintain basic training reports and dashboards

Training Coordination & Communication

  • Support communication of training initiatives to employees and leaders

  • Help ensure training materials are current, accessible, and well organized

  • Assist with new hire training and onboarding coordination

  • Maintain documentation related to training schedules, courses, and SOPs

Content Development & Research

  • Help identify, source, or develop training content based on organizational needs

  • Assist with updating or creating:

    • Job aids

    • Quick reference guides

    • Training outlines or presentations

  • Research best practices and external learning resources to support workforce development

Continuous Improvement & Special Projects

  • Gather feedback on training effectiveness

  • Assist with process improvements for learning administration

  • Support additional People & Culture projects as assigned (HR, engagement, or development initiatives)

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:

    • Human Resources

    • Organizational Development

    • Education

    • Business

    • Psychology

    • Communications or related field

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Work experience also accepted

  • Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (or Google equivalents)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Experience with learning management systems (LMS), HR systems, or UKG is a plus—but not required.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands‑on experience with a real enterprise LMS (UKG Learning)

  • Exposure to learning strategy, compliance training, and employee development

  • Practical experience working within a People & Culture / HR team

  • Professional mentorship and feedback

  • Opportunity for extension, part‑time continuation, or future employment based on performance and organizational needs

Why This Internship Is Different

  • Paid, full‑time opportunity

  • Real ownership of work—not busywork

  • Meaningful impact on employee growth and experience

  • Supportive, people‑centered team culture

  • Clear connection between learning, culture, and business outcomes
