Job Description - Legal & Compliance intern (6 months)

Review simple legal agreements and NDAs for completeness and accuracy
Prepare concise summaries of key contractual terms for internal reference
Help organize and maintain precedent documents and templates, gaining exposure to practical legal work
Assist in the maintenance and organization of compliance documentation and legal files
Support the monitoring of personal account dealing, gifts & entertainment, and outside business activities
Help with KYC/AML documentation reviews and onboarding due diligence for investors and counterparties
Monitor regulatory reporting calendars and track submission deadlines
Assist in the drafting and updating of internal policies, procedures, and training materials
Conduct legal and regulatory research on relevant laws, SFC regulations, and industry practices
Prepare compliance reports and internal communications
Support team members in ad hoc legal and compliance projects, audits, and regulatory filings

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline
Strong interest in financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Prior experience or coursework in legal, compliance, or financial services is an advantage
