Legal Intern

JOB SUMMARY:  Work with Broncos legal department handling various internal legal functions for the Denver Broncos Football Club and Empower Field at Mile High. 

DURATION: This internship will run for 10 weeks from approximately late May - early August 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed prior to start.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Support:

• Assist legal department in reviewing and negotiating revenue and expense contracts for the organization


• Help design and execute sweepstakes and contests in coordination with legal and business teams


• Develop processes, policies and procedures around contracts and templates

Strategic Projects:

• Assist legal department with strategic organizational initiatives, including negotiating agreements, developing policies and procedures and participating in strategy sessions


• Work closely with Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel to participate in internal and external strategic development priorities

Privacy:

• Support legal department and other business stakeholders in the development and execution of consumer data privacy policies and practices

Contributes to department team effort by:

• Completing additional duties assigned; including opportunities to participate in internal and external calls on strategic priorities and interact with outside counsel

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree


• Completion of first year of law school at an accredited law school with the intent to return for second year


• Good academic standing in law school


• Self-motivated and solutions oriented with a positive attitude


• Strong attention to detail


• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint


• Ability to occasionally work hours outside of normal business hours with little or no advance notice

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Enrollment at a Colorado-based law school (University of Colorado Law School; University of Denver Sturm College of Law).
  
  
  
  • This position is fully on-site at the Denver Broncos’ facilities in the Denver metropolitan area. The Broncos will not provide relocation or housing assistance for this role.

• Prior office work experience


• Prior sports and/or entertainment work experience and a demonstrated strong interest in the sports and entertainment industry

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $30.00/hour.
