LGSW Clinical Trainee or Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated LGSW Clinical Trainee or Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups under supervision. This role requires a strong commitment to supporting the mental health needs of diverse populations and contributing to client well-being while developing clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Assessments (under supervision): Assist with comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and inform treatment planning.
2. Provide Therapy: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups while receiving clinical supervision.
3. Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients and supervisors to create individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health needs.
4. Maintain Documentation: Complete accurate and timely records of client sessions, treatment goals, and progress notes in accordance with agency and training standards.
5. Coordinate Care: Support collaboration with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure integrated care.
6. Crisis Support: Participate in supervised crisis intervention when clients experience acute mental health concerns.
7. Ethical Practice: Adhere to professional ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.
8. Professional Development: Engage in regular supervision, training, and ongoing learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
9. Scheduling & Coordination: Manage therapy schedules, ensuring timely appointments and follow-ups in collaboration with administrative staff.
10. Client Support: Help facilitate communication between clients and the care team, ensuring continuity of services.

Qualifications:

• Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or Doctoral program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Licensure Status:
• • Interns: Students completing practicum or internship hours as part of an MSW program.
  • Trainees: Graduates working toward independent licensure under supervision (e.g., LICSW).
• Skills: Strong communication, empathy, cultural humility, and adaptability skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Cultural Competence: Commitment to culturally responsive care and awareness of systemic inequities.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and ability to balance multiple responsibilities.

Hours:

Flexible hours between 8 am and 7 pm, depending on client needs.

Salary Range: Full time: $56,160 - $76,800 per year, depending on experience and license status
