Machine Shop Intern

Description

 We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our machine shop team. As a Machine Shop Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in machining operations, tool usage, and safety procedures. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or related fields. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist machinists in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
   
• Support production tasks such as deburring, measuring, and inspecting parts.
   
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with shop safety standards.
   
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
   
• Participate in basic machine maintenance and tool inventory management.
   
• Adhere to safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
   
• Document work performed and assist in quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Ability to read measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers is a plus.
   
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
   
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
   
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
