Maintenance Intern - Summer 2027

Summary: As a Maintenance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and supporting our maintenance team with day-to-day activities. This internship offers an opportunity to develop technical skills, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to the overall success of the facility. Potential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Aid the maintenance team in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.

• Support the maintenance team in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues that arise in the production equipment.

• Provide general assistance in maintaining the facility, including keeping work areas clean, organizing tools, and assisting in larger repair or renovation projects as needed.

• Willingness to take direction from area supervision and follow that direction.

• Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.

• Follows all company safety rules as laid out in the company safety manual and all other company policies.

• Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems

• Basic understanding of general maintenance processes and methods

• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

• Works well as team member

• Able to follow orders of supervisor

• Read blueprints and other technical documents

• Have mechanical skills

• Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in industrial environments

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

Currently enrolled undergraduate student studying maintenance, industrial technology, mechanical engineering, or other related field.
