Job Description - Market Social Media Coordinator


A Market Social Media Coordinator at Carter Lumber is responsible for creating content, managing our social media accounts, and helping us showcase the exciting work happening in our Kitchen & Bath departments. You’ll help bring our designs, products, and customer projects to life across all platforms. This role is great for someone who loves design inspiration, enjoys capturing aesthetic details, and can bring our Kitchen & Bath projects to life through creative content.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Ability to create engaging content, including photos and videos, with an eye for interior design and home improvement trends
  • Experience in Social Media, Marketing, or a related creative field
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Enjoys capturing photos and videos of Kitchen & Bath projects and turning them into engaging content
  • Part-Time, Full-Time, and College Internships Available
  • This is a local, market‑level role, and applicants from the Louisville area are strongly preferred
    • Candidates with experience working in the Louisville market or with other local organizations will be especially well‑suited for this position
Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and publish daily content across all social media channels, with a focus on Kitchen & Bath projects and design inspiration
  • Highlight Kitchen & Bath products, design trends, customer projects, and in-store expertise
  • Work closely with Kitchen & Bath designers to feature their work, design tips, and projects
  • Visit job sites or showroom areas to gather real‑time content and behind‑the‑scenes footage
  • Feature trending materials, finishes, and product selections to educate and inspire customers
  • Support promotional campaigns for Kitchen & Bath events, sales, and new product launches
  • Stay current on social media trends and recommend new ideas to grow our audience
  • Collaborate with internal teams to highlight products, promotions, and company culture
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster community interaction
  • Tracks social media advertising purchases and budgets
  • Establishes relationships/networks of industry professionals
  • Assists with Special Projects as needed
