Position Description:
California State Parks Foundation is seeking a talented and motivated Marketing and Communications Intern to assist with the organization’s overall marketing and communications portfolio. The Marketing and Communications Intern is an essential team member and strongly focuses on creating content that brings key themes and stories to life via digital and social media. The Marketing and Communications Intern is responsible for creating informative and innovative social media and website content, supporting the implementation of a robust social media strategy, and creating digital assets. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work in team and independent settings, and have writing, editing, design, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates also have a passion for California state parks and public lands or a willingness to gain a deeper connection with the outdoors.

COMPENSATION: This is a temporary part-time, non-exempt, 15-20 hours per week position through June 30, 2025, with possible extension for a full 6-month term. The hourly range for this position is $15 - $18 per hour, based on experience. We offer the following benefits to interns: pro-rated sick time off accrual; and pro-rated monthly data and cell stipend.
During the term, the intern will be provided with laptop and necessary home office equipment such as a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. They will also be provided with access to necessary software applications. Any required travel will be reimbursed.
