Marketing & Communications Intern

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support the daily operations of the Communications Department. This is an onsite position located at our headquarters in Rome, NY. This position is offered in partnership with the Oneida County College Corp internship program. 

What You'll Do: 

• Content Creation & Editing
  – Assist in drafting, editing and formatting internal and external communications (emails, social media posts, press releases, event materials, digital signage etc.)
  – Support storytelling efforts by translating technical content into engaging narratives
• Event & Campaign Support
  – Help plan, promote and execute internal events and/or marketing campaigns
• Research & Reporting
  – Conduct competitive research and assist with marketing data collection
  – Help track engagement and media mentions
• Administrative & Organizational Support
  – Maintain content calendars and team documentation
  – Help organize logo items/swag for conferences and events

Education, Skills & Experience: 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or related field
• Oneida County resident
• Must be able to start May 19, 2025
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SharePoint or Adobe Creative Suite a plus
• Knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, etc.)

US Hourly Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including skills and experience.
