Marketing Automation Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Jazz are seeking a motivated intern to assist with marketing automation for the 2025-26 NBA season. The Marketing Automation Intern will assist in strategy and execution of marketing campaigns within owned channels, specifically email and SMS (text messaging). A successful Marketing Automation Intern is eager to learn, an excellent communicator, dependable, and a creative problem-solver. The position is 25-30 hours per week and the internship runs through the 2025-26 season with opportunities to extend. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Build and execute email marketing campaigns for gamedays, offers, newsletters, and other operational emails. 
• Engage with fans through the execution of marketing campaigns using SMS marketing software.
• Assist with reporting on campaign metrics, including open rates, click rates, and revenue generation.
• Collaborate across organizational departments, using email and SMS to accomplish key objectives.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns focused on audience growth in the email and SMS spaces.
• Complete email and SMS deployments regardless of day. This will include nights, weekends and holidays during the 2025-26 season. 
• Protect the reputation of the company.

• Accept other duties, as assigned. 

COMPETENCIES: 

• Experience with Marketo or other email marketing platforms preferred 
• HTML or basic coding experience preferred 
• Copywriting 
• Written and verbal communication skills 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Currently enrolled at or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally. 
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
