Position Overview: The Marketing Intern will assist with proposal preparation, resume updates, marketing production tasks, event coordination, and social media support. This role is ideal for a Junior or Senior undergraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry. 

Opportunity for Position Location: 

• Sacramento (this is an in-office position, working closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator)

Responsibilities:

• Proposal & Document Support
  
  
  
  • Update and format master resumes and project sheets using Adobe InDesign
  
  
  • Assist with proposal preparation and document assembly
  
  
  • Proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and brand consistency
  
  
  
  


• Marketing Production & Creative Support
  
  
  
  • Assist with social media content creation and scheduling
  
  
  • Support updates to marketing collateral and templates
  
  
  • Help organize and maintain project photography libraries
  
  
  • Provide basic layout support in Adobe InDesign (as applicable)
  
  
  
  


• Event & Administrative Support
  
  
  
  • Assist with coordination on internal and external events
  
  
  • Support marketing research and data entry
  
  
  • Maintain organized CRM and marketing resource files
  
  
  • Participate in marketing team meetings and support ad-hoc requests
  
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior undergraduate (Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or related field preferred; other majors welcome with interest in A/E/C industry


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships


• Commitment to S+B James Construction core values


• Exhibits composure under pressure with ability to adapt effectively to frequent changes and unforeseen delays


• Strong ability to achieve results, take initiative, and collaboratively work with a team


• Attention to detail and accountability to projects assigned

Preferred: 

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign


• Interest in construction, development, or the A/E/C industry


• Previous internship or academic project experience in marketing

Salary Range: $22.00/hour - $25.00/hour
