Job Description - Mechanic Assistant Summer Intern

Summary
The summer garage intern will work alongside our experienced mechanic and gain hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles within our company fleet. Assist our mechanic in keeping all vehicles in good working condition. Assist with installing safety equipment, and maintaining appropriate records.

Principal Duties
  • Assist with services and maintaining company vehicles.
  • Pick up parts from vendors.
  • Assist in DOT inspections on all vehicles.
  • Assist with repairs to broken equipment in the field.
  • Assist with keeping the shop clean and safe, and maintaining all shop equipment and tools.
  • Assist with replacing vehicle tires when worn.

*This position reports to the Garage Mechanic.
