Medical Assistant Apprentice (40 hours per week) #3419

 RAMC is excited to offer a unique opportunity through our Clinical Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program!

 As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced care teams while receiving formal training and mentorship—all while being paid to learn.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM-6 PM (Hours could vary)

What you'll do: 

As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you’ll provide a blend of clinical, technical, and clerical support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Under the guidance of providers, nurses, and preceptors, you will:

• Assist with direct patient care across the lifespan—from infants to seniors


• Support routine procedures, examinations, and documentation


• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth patient flow


• Build strong relationships with patients and families while supporting their psychosocial needs


• Learn the skills to become a confident, competent Medical Assistant upon program completion

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Strong interpersonal skills 


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities


• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), bend, and reach as needed


• Comfortable working in a clinical environment with occasional exposure to odors, cleaning agents, and bodily fluids
  


• Function independently while maintaining teamwork and professionalism
