Merchandising Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: alice + olivia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Intern to join our team. This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in merchandising at a fast-paced, global contemporary fashion brand. You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams to support key seasonal milestones, assist with showroom management, sample coordination, and gain exposure to sales and market strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAMPLE COORDINATION & SHOWROOM SUPPORT

·       Assist in the coordination, tagging, and organization of RTW samples for shoots, NYFW, and international markets

·       Support the merchandising team in setting up and maintaining the showroom and sample closet throughout the day during key seasonal milestones

·       Help manage sample trafficking using internal systems, assist with check-ins, returns, and images.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Sales, PR, E-Commerce, Creative, Production, Tech) to fulfill sample requests.

·       Assist with internal sample meetings, including note-taking and agenda preparation

ASSET MAINTENANCE

·       Responsible for maintenance of image database through the product cycle  

·       Reconcile flat and on model images against final line adoption in partnership with Product Development

·       Help prepare and update line sheets and BlueCherry database

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

·       Conduct competitive and trend research to support line development and strategic assortment planning

·       Assist in ad hoc projects including pricing analysis, sales analysis, and evaluating new technology to support business functions

SKILLSET REQUIRED:

·       Enrolled or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field

·       Strong attention to detail and highly organized

·       Interest in fashion, product, and the intersection of creativity and business

·       Self-starter with a proactive attitude and collaborative spirit

·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

·       Experience with BlueCherry and Photoshop is highly preferred

·       Curiosity about market trends and willingness to learn about new digital tools, including AI applications in merchandising

SALARY: $16.50/hour
