ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Merchandising Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Fall. This role will report to both the Senior Manager, Buying & Merchandising and the Senior Director, Merchandising, and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the merchandising team with market and competitor research to analyze trends and business opportunities


• Support the seasonal line planning process by preparing product data, analyzing past performance, and organizing key merchandising tools


• Assist with coordinating product presentations, ensuring all necessary materials and assets are in place


• Assist in organizing and maintaining merchandising documents, line sheets, and pricing lists


• Support in-store and e-commerce merchandising efforts, including product performance tracking


• Work cross-functionally with production, wholesale, digital, marketing, and retail teams to align on product launches and collection development


• Provide general administrative support to the merchandising team as needed

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


• Passion for luxury fashion and a keen eye for product and trends


• Keen interest for fashion and eagerness to immerse themselves in the industry


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:

• Currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field


• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with retail math is a plus


• Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as the Google Suite


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Prior internship experience in fashion merchandising is preferred
