Position Summary:

In this role, you will join Entegris’ Microanalysis team, which is developing a method to count and identify unknown nanoparticles in DIW and ultra-clean aqueous samples, a major challenge in the semiconductor industry. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge analytical instruments and contribute to method development and routine analytical services.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform and present analytical test results to Senior Scientists and Engineers.

• Develop and iterate upon test methodologies.

• Discuss test results and suggest future project directions.

• Support routine analytical services by analyzing samples from other teams.

• Become proficient in advanced analytical tools including:

• Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

• Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)

• Confocal 3D Fluorescence Microscope

• Microscope FTIR

What We Seek:

• Open-minded and eager to learn new techniques.

• Strong data analysis and organizational skills.

• Knowledge in analytical or organic chemistry or digital imaging analysis.

• Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
• Majors: Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science
• Graduation Year: Graduation May 2026 or later

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time, the intern will work in the cleanroom and operating a variety of microscopes.

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.

Compensation: $20-$32 hourly range with actual pay dependent on graduation year and candidate skillset
