About this Role

Requirements

Mortgage Loan Processing Support

In this role, you will assist Mortgage Loan Officers with processing and organizing borrower applications and supporting documents, ensuring all materials adhere to internal guidelines and regulatory requirements. You will conduct preliminary reviews of mortgage applications to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established underwriting standards. Additionally, you will prepare disclosure documents and closing packages, while maintaining accurate loan files in accordance with federal regulations and NCUA guidelines.

Compliance & Data Management

You will perform accurate data entry and maintain internal databases, loan tracking systems, and document management tools to support efficient loan processing. In carrying out these duties, you will observe and apply compliance standards and consumer lending regulations, particularly those related to mortgage processing, fair lending, privacy, and disclosure requirements. Furthermore, you will support the preparation of audit-ready documentation, ensuring that records are maintained in an organized and accurate manner.

Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
Your responsibilities will include communicating professionally with applicants, internal teams, and other departments to provide updates on loan status, address outstanding documentation, and respond to general inquiries. You will provide administrative support by scanning documents, filing, managing email correspondence, and scheduling meetings. Participation in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities will help enhance your understanding of mortgage operations. You will also support the customer service team by addressing basic member inquiries related to mortgage services.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

· Currently a sophomore or higher at an accredited university, majoring in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

· Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

· Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

· Demonstrated interest in mortgage lending or financial services preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, occasionally stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
