The Booking & Entertainment Internship at The Classic Center is a paid, hands-on opportunity for a student interested in learning how concerts, comedy, family entertainment, performing arts, sports, and other live events make their way from an idea to the stage.
Working directly with the Director of Booking & Entertainment, the intern will gain practical exposure to the business behind live entertainment at The Classic Center Theatre and Akins Ford Arena.
This is not designed to be an observational internship. The intern will contribute to real projects, research, systems, and departmental responsibilities while learning how a professional venue evaluates and develops entertainment opportunities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with spreadsheets and research, a strong professional communicator, willing to take initiative, and able to handle confidential business information with maturity and discretion.
Requirement: Students must receive academic credit for this internship through UGA's Music Business Program
Term: One academic semester
Minimum Commitment: 4 hours per week, with additional hours available
Work Arrangement: Flexible and hybrid

Potential Next Step: Strong performers may be invited to continue for a second semester with expanded responsibilities.
The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
